Northern lights over Iceland

Aurora hunters since 1994

You don't chase auroras. You read them.

Our team in Iceland has spent over 30 years reading the Arctic sky. We don't sell luck — we sell strategy. Every night during an expedition we decide where to go based on real data — not on a printed bus-tour itinerary.

What we evaluate every night

01

Solar activity

The Kp index and solar wind set the expected intensity. We monitor it nightly.

02

Cloud coverage

Aurora plus clear sky. We cross local regional forecasts to decide where to move.

03

Multi-night strategy

One night is a gamble. Three to five nights is a strategy. That's why our expeditions are never single-day.

04

Local terrain knowledge

30+ years driving winter roads. We know which routes close, where shelter is, and where city light won't wash the sky.

Honesty about auroras

Nobody in Iceland guarantees an aurora.

Any operator promising guaranteed auroras is lying. The aurora is a solar phenomenon — it depends on the sun, not on us.

What we do control is probability. We design multi-night expeditions to maximize chances, know which regions clear up when the rest of Iceland is cloudy, and move the group accordingly.

Our success rate is among the highest in Iceland — not by luck, by method.
